The Youth One Gala is more than a night of celebration, it’s a movement to help youth take real steps forward in their journey. Through mentorship, meals, and community support, we help young people overcome adversity and gain the momentum they need to thrive. When youth face challenges, they don’t just need programs — they need people who believe in them. That’s where you come in. Cocktail casual with a youthful twist. Wear your favourite kicks 👟 — stylish and comfortable! This is your night to look great and have fun. Your footwear symbolizes our theme: helping youth build momentum, overcome barriers, and take steps forward in life.
Program:
We’re tapping into our youthful roots with the all-new Y1 Gala experience. Every ticket purchased, game played, balloon sponsored, and auction item won — helps fund out-of-school programs, daily meals, and support for vulnerable youth. Together, we’re building momentum and helping young people take their next step forward.
Games Experience and Balloon/Youth Sponsorships:
This is not your typical gala, we’re transforming the space into an Adult Youth Centre! Buy a punch card at the door and take part in various activities like Virtual Golf (Best Ball), life-size Pop-A-Shot basketball, and much more. Finish on top of the leaderboard by the end of the night to be crowned the 2025 Champion and win amazing prizes sponsored by local businesses. We will also be continuing our “Sponsor a balloon” activity with a meaningful addition. Each balloon purchase directly sponsors individual youth for an entire year at Y1.

What the heck is the Y1:Gala & Games?
We like to play hard, so we’re transforming the Gala space into an Adult Youth Centre! Take your shot at a variety of skill-based games and challenges throughout the night. Pay to play your favourites, climb the leaderboard, and if you finish on top by the end of the night, you’ll score some amazing prizes. We can’t give it all away, but you can expect favourites like Closest to the Pin, Cornhole, Longest Drive, Pop-A-Shot (Basketball) and more surprises to come.

Youth One is determined to make sure all youth and families in Lethbridge have access to prevention based programs and supports during out of school times. Will you join us in this mission?! Funds raised during the event will provide mentorship-based program, meals and support services for 83 individual teens in Lethbridge for one year through our Launch Forward Initiative (Goal: $125,000).
White balloon - For every $125 you give you will receive 1white balloon at your table (This represents 1 month of access for one youth to attend Youth One)
Blue balloon - For every $1500 you give you will receive a blue balloon at your table. (This represents 1 year of sponsorship for 1 youth to attend Youth One)

About Youth One:
Youth One provides prevention and mentorship based, after school programs and support services for youth ages 11-18. Programs are designed to give students a community of belonging, support and guidance during their most formative years - at no financial barrier.
History:
In 2014, founded in Lethbridge, Youth One launched because of a major gap in many communities: The need for prevention and mentorship based programs supporting youth during out of school hours - at no financial barrier. In Lethbridge, 1 in every 5 youth grow up in a low income setting. In Canada, 1 in every 2 youth will grow up without a mentor or role model in their life. This means many youth in our community will grow up with limited supports and guidance during their most formative years of development. Research tells us when a youth has even ONE positive role model/mentor in their life it dramatically reduces many risk factors such as drug and alcohol abuse, crime rates, mental health issues, and school drop-out rates. For this reason, we are determined to make sure no youth has to figure out life alone. We firmly believe that when youth are supported to live out their full potential, the future health of our community increases. Since launching, Youth One has supported thousands of individual youth through their middle school and high school years. This has been done through after-school drop in programs, support groups, leadership training, food services, life skill development and more.
